J Roddy Walston and The Business

Headliner – 8:30pm

J Roddy Walston and The Business refuse to play it safe.  In this age when mobile phone apps have replaced recording studios and the term “badass” rarely describes modern music, J Roddy furthers the proud legacy of unrelenting rockers from Little Richard to Janis Joplin to KISS, shredding eardrums and stirring souls with scrappy, All-American anthems.

Imagine Animal the Muppet playing piano and you’re getting close.

6:30 – 8pm

Formed in the late 1990s in Los Angeles, Orgone remains dedicated to creating heavy, raw, adrenaline-fueled funk and sweat-dripping soul. With a core rhythm section of close friends and self-taught musicians steeped in the DJ culture of L.A., Orgone has spent the last decade expanding their roster and evolving a sound that simultaneously recognizes its roots in old school respect and pulsates with the force of the new millennium. While becoming a staple on the festival circuit in the early 2000s, Orgone has gained a reputation among fellow artists for being one of the baddest go-to backing bands on the planet.

The Bunny Gang

4:45 – 6pm

The Bunny Gang NEW

The Bunny Gang have been described as the sound of the revolution, Conscious Rebel Music, with a rock, punk & reggae sound. Solidarity and conscious revolution are a recurring theme in their music and lifestyle. When performing for 50 or 5,000 people, the Bunny Gang is consistantly uprising their audiences, and the critics are taking notice.

3:20 – 4:25pm

ATOMGA is building an empire for fevered, afrobeat-influenced dance parties. This 10-piece afrofunk collective brings hypnotic grooves and lyrical prowess in harmony with their message of consciousness and positive vibes.

Rabbit Wilde

Hailing from Northwest Washington, Rabbit Wilde revamps classic string band instrumentation with homespun percussion and the unique integration of ukulele and cello with distinct vocals. The high-energy sound and stage presence of this folk rock quartet meld together the American songbook, with the choicest bits of indie rock, pop, blues, soul, and orchestral arrangement.

Art Exhibition

Beyond the live music, RockMont will feature an art exhibition unlike anything in our town’s history. Celebrated artist, Gamma Acosta, hosts an Urban Art Competition, showcasing 10 street artists competing for a $1500 prize purse. In addition, look for larger than life art installations, a 3-D chalk art exhibit, a gown-up & goggles-on Pollack experience, along with plenty of hands on, interactive art features for all ages.
